What this is

BeadSheet converts pictures into fuse bead (Perler, Hama, Artkal) patterns. It resizes your image to the bead grid, matches every cell to the closest real bead color using the CIEDE2000 color-difference formula in CIELAB space, and optionally applies Floyd–Steinberg dithering.

Privacy

Images are processed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded. Your "My colors" selection is stored only in this browser's localStorage. No account is needed.

Color data sources

Bead manufacturers do not publish official RGB/HEX values for their colors. The values used here are community measurements of physical beads and are approximations — real beads vary by batch, lighting and screen calibration.

• maxcleme/beadcolors (MIT License) — Color names, codes and community-measured RGB values for Perler (raw/perler.csv), Hama Midi (raw/hama.csv) and Artkal S (raw/artkal_s.csv). Snapshot: commit f97ff42 (2026-08-17).
• makebead/craft-color-codes — perler-midi.csv — Mapping of Perler item numbers (80-19001…) to the short P-codes (P01…). Its RGB values were checked at build time and are identical to beadcolors.

Palettes included:

• Perler (5 mm): 103 colors
• Hama Midi (5 mm): 92 colors
• Artkal S (5 mm): 199 colors

Found a wrong color? Corrections are best contributed upstream to the beadcolors project so everyone benefits.

Sample images

The sample flower, landscape and heart images were generated with code for this site. We do not provide patterns of copyrighted characters.
